Hall’s Taffy was first established in 1970 when Burton, Leon and Sally Hall purchased Sally’s uncle’s business and began to make and sell taffy on the county fair circuit. Later that year, they bought Doc’s Candies on Hoffman Street in Elmira, New York, adding delicious homemade fudge to their fair venue. Since that time, the business has expanded to include other popular confectioneries as well, delighting many a “sweet tooth” through the years.
In 2011 the Halls decided to step down from an active role and sold Hall’s Candies to their sister-in-law. It is her desire to please many more people with these delicious treats.
