Our story begins five years ago when September McCarthy opened up her doors once a month to women in every season of womanhood to gather and encourage one another. Women bravely came out that first year, with tentative steps, yet the same desire…To walk through motherhood together.

The first year the group stayed small and true. The same women gathered every 3rd Monday of each month. Rain or shine, those Monday nights became a beacon to every one of us that gathered. We didn’t care if everything was clean or perfectly posh. We all desired one thing: We wanted to raise the next generation- TOGETHER.

One year grew into two, and the circle in September’s living room grew, as well as the bond and the fellowship of the women every Monday evening. Their relationships expanded outside of the living room and into their personal lives. Those women began to live motherhood together outside of the Monday evening gatherings and their hearts were knit together in every season of motherhood.

Single moms, adoptive moms, grandmothers and moms of little ones have been meeting together once a month for five years. The walls have stayed the same, but the circle of moms has grown in number and variation.

When women began to travel from great distance and other states began requesting the desire to meet up like the start-up group, September was led by the Lord to create an “umbrella,” to the Meet Up Groups, a Celebration of sorts for the women that meet together all year long.

Raising Generations Today began with a circle of women gathered together in a living room, looking for hope, learning to embrace every season and longing to thrive in motherhood.

After two years of an abounding attendance at the Conference, the women began to request training and information on how to begin their own RGT Moms’ Meet Up Groups.

Currently, there are 17 active RGT Meet-Ups in Upstate New York. Every Mom Meet Up gathers to meet with women from every generation. RGT is not just for the mom of younger children, but for every single women in every season of womanhood.
